At Eminent Roofing, giving back to our community is at the heart of everything we do, and our Annual Holiday Roof Giveaway is one of the most meaningful ways we can make an impact. This year, we were thrilled to partner once again with the Pasco Team House—a program that’s not only close to our hearts but has become a vital resource for the next generation of tradespeople in our community. An Overwhelming Show of Support When we opened up voting for our 2024 Holiday Roof Giveaway, we were overwhelmed by the amount of support from the community, especially from the students themselves. Many of the submissions came directly from Pasco high school students who wanted to see us return to the Pasco Vocational Building Programs. It was humbling to see how much this program means to the students, and it truly reaffirmed our commitment to supporting it. A Program That Hits Close to Home The Pasco Vocational Building Program is an incredible opportunity for high school students to gain hands-on experience in the construction trades. This annual event has been showcasing students’ achievements for over 27 years, with the 2024 home being the 24th house built by students in the program. For one of our owners, this program is particularly meaningful. As a former member of the program, it’s a cause that’s close to his heart. He experienced firsthand the value of being involved in vocational training during high school, and that’s why giving back to this program is something we’re incredibly passionate about. Building More Than Homes—Building Futures Laura Jones, Career & Technical Education Director, perfectly captured the essence of this program: “The Construction Trades program provides our students with valuable hands-on training and experience in construction, as the classroom is an actual job site. We are fortunate to have the support of many companies in the community who donate their time and talents to teach students all aspects of home construction. The student-built home is a shining example of the teamwork, talent, and tenacity our students bring to every challenge.” For these students, this program isn’t just about learning how to build homes—it’s about building skills that will last a lifetime. It’s about gaining a head start in the trade industry and developing the kind of teamwork, dedication, and leadership that are vital in construction. What We’re Proud to Support At Eminent Roofing, we are proud to contribute to this program, not only by providing our expertise in roofing but by offering support in a way that goes beyond just the work we do. We believe in the value of education and hands-on experience, which is why we’re committed to helping these students achieve their dreams in the construction industry. As part of the program, students are responsible for every aspect of building a home—from the ground up. The student-built homes are a testament to their hard work, dedication, and the skills they’ve developed throughout the program. We’ve had the honor of providing roofing services for the homes they’ve built, ensuring that the roof above their hard work is as solid as the foundation they’ve created. Looking Ahead: Continuing the Tradition We are already looking forward to next year’s holiday giveaway and to continuing our support for the Pasco Team House program. For us, this partnership is more than just a chance to give back—it’s an investment in the future of our industry and our community. We want to thank all the students, faculty, and community members who made this year’s giveaway a success. Together, we’re not just building homes; we’re building futures. From all of us at Eminent Roofing, we wish you a safe and prosperous year ahead, and we thank you for your ongoing support of our mission to help the next generation of tradespeople thrive.
